Pioneering An Industry: Sam Winig’s Story
Over seventy-five years ago, our founder, Sam Winig, pioneered the commercial-residential laundry facility business in the Philadelphia real estate market by providing convenient “in-house” laundry facilities for residents, while producing extra income for property owners.
Today, CALECO has grown to become the largest privately owned commercial laundry vendor in the Mid-Atlantic region of the US.
We now operate facilities throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Washington D.C, as well as parts of Virginia and New York City.

The Winig family is proud to carry on founder Sam Winig’s legacy to this day.
While CALECO leadership believes strongly that ALL of the company’s great employees are considered family, a few of Sam’s direct family members have helped grow the business to where it is today.
